Brittany Town
Brittany is entering her second year at Osgoode Hall Law School. She is most interested in advocacy and litigation. Before entering law school, Brittany was a Senior Policy Advisor with the Ministry of Education, Indigenous Education Office where she supported the negotiation of the Master Education Agreement between participating Anishinabek First Nations and Ontario producing Canada’s largest sectoral self-government agreement restoring jurisdiction over on-reserve education to First Nations..
Prior to this, she worked at Indspire as their Government Relations Assistant after completing her BA (Hons) at Queen’s University in Politics and Philosophy.
Brittany is of mixed ancestry and is proud of her Mi’kmaq roots on her maternal side. Growing up in Scarborough and not knowing much about her ancestry, she now works hard to learn more about her culture and contribute to the Urban Indigenous community in Toronto.
